Key points for tonight:
* A Cumberland Farms store would add a maximum of 750 gallons
per day (gpd) to the City’s sewer system (3 water closets and a urinal);
* That equates to 0.52 gallons per minute (gpm) entering the
sewer system;
* The sewer system (Lift Station No. 9) along Holman Road pumps
70,000 gpd;
* Since opening, the Dollar General store has averaged 53 gpd
to the sewer system;
* The quote in Mr. McMillan’s letter is taken out of context.
The quote is used in the report text (Section 2.5) in reference to a
171-room hotel at the current location of the golf course;
* The entire Holman Road sewer system is scheduled to be
replaced with a 12-inch diameter line; and
* The line is being upsized in anticipation of economic growth
in the area.
