RESOLUTION NUMBER 26 1963
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND APPROVING WILLARD WINNETT
AS CHIEF OF POLICE FOR THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida,
has heretofore appointed Willard Winnett as the Chief of
Police of said city in conformance with 1963 Florida Statutes,
Section 168.01, and
WHEREAS, in conformance with said statute the consent
of the council is required before said Chief of Police can
officially perform his duties for the City of Cape Canaveral,
and
WHEREAS, by previous recommendation of the Council to the •
Mayor of Willard'Winnett as Chief of Police, said Mayor made his
• appointment,
• NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Cape Canaveral, Florida;
(1 ) That in conformance with 1963 Florida Statutes, Section
168.01, Willard Winnett, be and he is hereby appointed as ..
Chief of Police of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida.
(2 ) That in further conformance with the 1963 Florida
Statutes, Section 168.01 the City Council of the City of Cape
Canaveral, Florida hereby consents and approves the Mayor' s
appointment of Willard Winnett as the Chief of Police of the
City of Cape Canaveral, Florida..
(3) That this resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
