Subject: Ray's Osborne's talking points 'The need for discussion on climate adaption.'
National Geographic Feb 2014 " We're in for it, We have really done a job warming our ocean,
and it is going to pay us back" - Hal Waness U of Miami Geology Professor.
Although it seems like we have had a cold winter the fact is that the arctic and glaciers are
thawing and Florida will be affected before many other US locations, But there are
opportunities.

Climate Adaption for Cities Last year seminar attended by Jeff Ratliffe Rising Seas -Lowest
level Sanctuary Park
City of Satellite beach case study for climate change featured by many scientific
organizations.
Resulted in an ordinance Resolution No. 880 1) Addresses green areas use close to water
edges.
Ray's goals: 1) The Benefit of Trees; Specimen Tree saplings could mitigate community
agitation through reforestation while preparing our city for climate change in the future. 2)
Getting more city discussion on this topic.
