ROLL CALL: Council Members Present: Council Member Bob Hoog Mayor Rocky Randels Council Member Shannon Roberts Council Members Absent: Mayor Pro Tem Buzz Petsos Council Member Betty Walsh Others Present: City Manager David L. Greene City Clerk Angela Apperson City Treasurer Andrea Bowers Recreation Director Robert Lefever Public Works Director Walter Bandish Brevard County Sheriff Commander Alan Moros Cape Canaveral Volunteer Fire Dept. Assistant Chief John Cunningham DISCUSSION: 1. Fiscal Year 2010/2011 Budget. Mayor Rocky Randels briefly summarized the City Council directive to Staff, at the City Council Budget Workshop Meeting on July 7, 2010 to investigate any alternative revenue sources. Discussion ensued and included: the Parking Meter Program and the revenue that would be produced by the same; the use of fire hydrant fees; the revenue that would be generated by Ad Valorem taxes; the Strategic Planning Process; the Visioning Project; whether to raise millage rates to cap and free up money to move the Visioning Project forward. Council reached consensus to support going forward with the Budget.
