Subject: save our neighborhood
Dear city planners, please do not permit a gas station this close to
our neighborhood. We are in the midst of extreme traffic and are facing
dangerous and hazardous problems with ingress and egress every time we
leave Cape Shores. We are now dodging car rentals on both sides of A1A,
the traffic from an existing gas station across the street, back ups of
traffic especially from several car rentals on Holman road and A1A.
Recently the news reported that one of the most hazardous areas in
Brevard county existed between Buchanan and McKinley . Also, we have a
fear of increased crime in our area which was further impressed on us
with the accounting in the newspaper of an incident in Titusville at a
Cumberland Farms where a criminal had a confrontation repeatedly
crashing into a patrol car on the property. Crime happens much too
frequently at these gas stations. Please help us to feel like we are
also part of the city not just a pass through or car city. Thanks for
reading this. Rebecca Rowe 15 year resident.
