A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE SPECIAL
REREGISTRATION OF FREEHOLDERS FOR
PARTICIPATION IN BOND ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL,
FLORIDA ON THE 29th DAY OF MARCH 1966.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Cape
Canaveral, Florida, has determined that it is necessary
for such City to issue bonds in the principal amount of
not exceeding $ 1 . 200,000.00 for the purpose of the
acquisition and construction of a storm drainage system
in the City; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined to hold
an election in the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida on the
29th day of March, 1966. to determine whether or not such
bonds shall be issued, and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it
is necessary and desirable to call for a special reregistra- '
tion of freeholder electors to secure a new and up-to-date
list of freeholders to be used for qualifying freeholder
electors to participate in the bond election above referred
to.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, that :
SECTION. A special registration of free-
holder electors is hereby called for the purpose of
securing a new and up-to-date list of freeholders to be
used for qualifying freeholder electors to participate
in the bond election to be held in the City of Cape Canaveral
Florida, on the 29th day of March, 1966, for the purpose of
approving the issuance by such City of not exceeding $ 1, 200.000.00
General Obligation Bonds for financing the acquisition and
construction of a storm drainage system in the City. Such
bonds and the interest thereon shall be secured by a pledge
of the full faith credit and taxing power of the City.

SECTION 2. Notice is hereby given pursuant to
the Statutes of Florida that the registration books of the
City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, . will be open at the office
of the City Clerk ex officio, Supervisor of Registration
for the City, in the City Hall, City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, from the 31st day of January 1966, until and
including the 8th day of March 1966, for the purpose of
reregistration of freeholder electors for voting in the
bond election to be held in the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida on the 29th day of March 1966. The said books
will be open during such period from 9. 00 A.M. until
5 P. M. each day of the week except Sundays . The said
books will be open during such period, in addition to
that time stated, on Monday and Friday from 6 P.M. until
9 P.M. Any person who is a qualified elector of the City
as prescribed by the General Laws of Florida who, on the
day of such election, is a freeholder residing in the City
of Cape Canaveral, Florida, shall be entitled to reregister
for such bond election at the office of the City Clerk, ex
officio Supervisor of Registration, in the City Hall, City
of Cape Canaveral, Florida. Any such qualified freeholder
elector who has reregistered, as herein provided, shall
be entitled to vote in such bond election. A freeholder
elector is defined to be one who has an immediate
beneficial ownership interest, legal or equitable, in.
the title to a fee simple estate in land and who has
duly registered as such freeholder elector for partici-
pation in the bond election hereinabove referred to, in
the reregistration book provided therefor, or is other-
wise entitled by law to vote in such election.
SECTION 3. This Resolution, with an appropriate
heading so indicating, shall be published as the Notice
of such reregistration in the Cocoa Tribune, a

newspaper of general circulation in the City of Cape
Canaveral, Florida, which publication shall be made not
less than once each week for four (4) consecutive weeks .
SECTION 4 . This resolution shall take effect
pursuant to the provisions of the Charter of the City.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Cape Canaveral, Florida, this lAtlaaY of January, 1966.
