RESOLUTION NO. .45: 25
A RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF OUTSTANDING PUBLIC ,
SERVICE RENDERED THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL,
FLORIDA, AND ITS INHABITANTS BY MEMBERS OF THE
RECREATION BOARD; PROVIDING AN EFF.t.CTIVE DATE
WHEREAS the Charter of Cape Canaveral, Florida provides for
the creation of a Recreation Board, and
WHEREAS the City Council by Ordinance has provided for the
powers and duties of such board, and
WHEREAS the membership of the Recreation Board during its
immediate last past term of office has rendered an invaluable public
service to this City, its inhabitants, and especially the young people
of the community, far surpassing the letter of Board duties and responsi-
bilities, •
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Cape Canaveral, Florida, that •
SECTION 1. Ann Ross, Pat Beaulieu, Retha Loggins, Joe Conners,
William Greaney, Olga Schrider, Walt Pfirman, Lee Hull, Carl Welton and
Clifton Bailey, members of the Recreation Board of the:_.City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, during the immediate last past term of office, are hereby offici-
ally recognized by this Council for performance of an outstanding public
service in developing, promoting and supervising worthwhile and wholesome
recreational programs and competetive sports for the young people of this
City; thereby entertaining our younger citizens and instilling in them
qualities of fair play and sportsmanship for which the members of the
Council are justly greatful.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to spread this
Resolution upon the public record of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida
and transmit certified copies hereof to Ann Ross, Pat Beaulieu, Retha Loggins,
Joe Conners, William Greaney, Olga Schrider, Walt Pfirman, Lee Hull,

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, on this ot./..41 day of September, 1965.
