NEW BUSINESS
Problems involving the tennis backboard were
diaouoeod" It was pointed out that the noise leveI
and the balls flying out into the street and hitting
oorn and windows on the private property across the
street more the major problems, This could be
alIaivmtod by moving the backboard to court #1
where there is no housing directly nearby. The
gate on court +1 would solve the problem of crossing
3 courts to retrieve balls that go over the fence.
it was stated that the backboard could not be moved.
A compromise plan of stringing up the old practice
net across the top of the backboard was suggested.
Nancy is going to check to see if it is available
and report at the next meeting.
The tennis program in general was discussed. It
was noted that because of the high cost to out-oF-
tnmn players that many players have gone elaemhera.
It was decided that members mould t information
g
about costs at other courts and discuss the
feasibility of eliminating non-resident rates. This
will be discussed further at the July meeting.
There being no further discussion, Note Jones moved
to adjourn the meeting, Bob Lomorette seconded.
Rooting was adjourned.
