FLORIDA 32920 TELEPHONE 305 783-1100 March 18, 1982 DIRECTOR'S REPORT The Recreation Department will sponsor it's annual Spring Fling Racquetball Tournament on April 16, 17 and 18th. Cape Canaveral Little League season began it's 1982 season with Opening Day ceremonies on March 13th, T plan to attend the Director's Conference in St. Petersburg again this year. Dates are May 5, 6 and 7th. Enclosed in your packet are the ordinances and by-laws which govern the Recreation Board. To change the frequency of meetings will take a by-law change which must, of course, be approved by City Council. Perhaps there are other changes that it would be appropriate to make in these somewhat antiquated ordinances and by- laws at the same time. Cape View Elementary School will be having their mini enrichment courses again this year, to be held the four Friday afternoons in May. They are once again requesting racquetball and tennis court time to be donated by the City. The Cape Canaveral Shuffleboard Club has been asked by the Central East Coast District to host a tournament on February 3, 4 and 5, 1983. The only requirement of the City would be to donate the court time, our club members will have complete responsibility for running the tournament.
