WHAT??? Another gas station to be built, replacing an enviromentally
healthy & pretty tree lot in Cape Canaveral. It will be open 24 hours
with a Cumberland farms...right on A1A next to Cape Shores' side
entrance. Oh, my God, making it our 9th gas station in a one.9 mile
stretch which is the length of Cape Canaveral. If that count isn't right
it doesn't matter because if you run out of gas in C.C. you are just
steps away from help; unfortunately, that big help is also a source of
pollution.
Why not use available land to HELP the environment...not DESTROY it.
We've already started the slogan.."Smoke Free Florida"..to save our
lungs & keep indoors free of pollutants, so, how about the outdoors?
Envision a sidewalk cafe or restaurant where seating is surrounded by a
garden style setting that's both fragrant & healthy...where friends can
meet & chat.
Envision benches to rest on at intervals along a walking path with your
pet or significant other adjacent to a scenic bike path... 'tricycles
permitted'.
Envision browsing thru many small shops & stopping to enjoy a smoothie
or ice cream while listening to the music emerging from the Pavilian or
outdoor stage in a small park.
Cape Canaveral can realize that a lot of imagination to better our city
& not hinder a healthy lifestyle is what we truly need... And this does
not include another gas station.
P.S. Checking the pollution count & comparing it between gas stations &
rocket fallout, gas station pollution comes out the winner on all
counts! NO MORE GAS STATIONS IN CAPE CANAVERAL
