HomeMy WebLinkAbouta different location for Cumberland FarmsDear city fathers: If Cumberland Farms is set on opening a service
station in Cape Canaveral; I think it would behoove them to consider
redeveloping one that has already been in place and no longer sells
fuel. The underground fuel well is already there, the permits are
already in place, there is plenty of space, priceless oak trees and
habitat would not be affected, and the site is not adjacent to a
residential area. The site to consider is the Spaceport Amoco located at
the intersection of old and new A1A. It is convenient being able to exit
both sides, the east egress having a traffic light. This facility is an
eyesore right now and would be upgraded and improved with redevelopment.
Also the east side should be part of the proposed North A1A Streetscape.
