I want to recap my conversation this past Monday September 29th, 2014 with David Dickey the city planner. I stopped by briefly and reiterated to the city planner my willingness to communicate to the land owner or new potential land owner that it is not my intention to use the archaeological resources of this area to stop their development. Others and I would like to see if the developer would give us a period of 2-3 months to do a proper survey of this significant archaeology site in our area. Is there any objection from the city on this? I certainly want to see the best interests of the city served and I believe they are. I also mentioned to the city planner that it would be helpful to have a copy of the contract between the buyer and seller of this lot of land. Can a copy be requested for the city's records? I look forward to reading the subject communications in the public records soon. This will help us all make informed decisions and avoid misunderstandings due to misinformation.
