Fyi.....
John,
I received your voice mail, but did not have the opportunity to respond.
Did you contact the City or the Natural Resources Department of Brevard
County, or any state agency?
If you need me to work on this, let me know. I won’t be able to work on
it until Tuesday, however, due to depositions on Monday.
Let me know the status.

Buzz,
I was just told by a concerned citizen that Bob Baugher has told the
city he is “mowing” his property in Cape Canaveral behind the new
proposed gas station and dollar store.( Not exactly what I had in mind
for good neighbors and or good development for our city. J )
Today at 12 Noon, I witnessed heavy equipment destroying the understory,
once again, with a hedgehog piece of equipment attached to a skid steer.
Todd was purported to say that Bob called him to let him know he was
“mowing” his property. This on top of the fact that he brush hogged the
original understory a while back without a permit and without any
negative consequence.
Do you remember when I cleared pepper trees and small pathways without a
permit? I was fined $40,000.00 and had to ask the council’s waver of
this penalty. Which I appreciated and was sorry to have made a misstep.
I do not like to waste my time pointing out the injustices of the past
or present, but I find the cities continued favoritism and acquiescence
shameful, if not illegal.
As my elected official, I am letting you know that Turkey Vultures
use/used the area cleared today, as a roost and are a protected species.
Last time they cleared they started to roost on my property and had
recently returned to the same roost on Bob’s property. I am copying a
few other people on this just to make sure that I have a record of me
noticing you (the city) on what may turn out to be a very serious
environmental infraction or crime. Not sure how the Federal law
prosecutes these issues.
