HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Meeting - CorrespondenceGood morning Ray. Thank you for your most recent email. I look forward
to your comments at tomorrow night’s Planning & Zoning Board meeting.
I had a chance to meet with Todd late yesterday and determined that our
policy will be to distribute any submitted correspondence with our board
agenda packets. There is no such thing as too much information when we
are considering such public matters.
As the agenda packet was distributed last week I will not be able to
include a copy of the city visioning statement as you requested.
However, I would be happy to hand-out a copy to each of the board
members at tomorrow’s meeting.
Please be aware that any correspondence that we share, including emails,
letters, etc. are public records and will be treated as such. Let me
know if you have any further questions. Dave

plans, Re: Agenda for P&Z meeting on Aug 27th.
It is too bad you are ignoring my request with this.
So I will be exercising my rights and making public comments at
Wednesday's P&Z meeting about this topic. I request a copy of the city
visioning statement be put in the agenda package, as I will be
referencing it in my comments.
Here is the link.

Please ensure that this request goes into public records under my
comment entitled "Hometown government principles still abides in Cape
Canaveral"
I will be stopping by soon with a blank dvd and ask that Susan make an
audio recording of the Board of Appearance meeting where this Cumberland
project was the agenda item. See you soon.

That is a policy change as I have submitted letters in past for the P&Z
and the Board of Adjustments. If this is your policy, I request this be
brought before the city council to make a decision on. I've always
understood it was a right of a citizen and a resident of the city to
express his views in a letter to the city regarding issues they were
concerned about.

Hi Ray. Hope you’re having a good afternoon. Thanks for the
spreadsheet that you submitted, this is great information to have as we
consider development proposals. As there are over 3,000 entries, has a
map been produced that will aid in locating each of the specific sites?

Thanks for the prompt reply, Mia.
At previous meetings of P&Z , letters have been permitted to be
submitted into an agenda
package so that members of the committee have ample time to thoughtfully
consider
the issues being presented. So a precedent has been set.
Has there been a policy change with the new city planner? If there is,
can this change be placed as an agenda item for next week's meeting?
As always, please consider this email as public record.

Ray,
Planning & Zoning Director David Dickey plans the P&Z Board
Agenda/Packet. He would decide whether or not to include a letter in
the Packet.
You may submit your letter at the meeting to Susan to become part of the
record.
The same would go for all Boards and City Council.
