Cape Canaveral Recreation meeting was called to order
at 7:40.

Also present we re Leslie Williams, Karate Instructor &
Pam Campbell, Program Sunorvisor & Wally Homer from Recrea-
tJon Comodex.
No minutes were read, they were tabled.

TiTi7T Williams, the Karate Instructor, was pr•.sent at the
meeting to propose an extended Karate prooram. A the pre-
sent time, there is only a six -week class. She proposed to
have a class that would pick up where the first class ended.
Traininq would be ,110.00 per month. There will be two
training sessions a week and the price increase will be for
the individualized training that is given to the student.
The Board accented the propel and told Jack Picralo to go
ahead and schedule the class. They will try to start in Jan.
Item 2
Pam Campbell gave a report on the increase in the Recreation
Program activities. She showed the board a graph that she
and Mr. Piccalo had drawn up pointing out the last six
months. The granh pointed out a small hut steady increase
each six -week period. She also showed us a pamphlet that
they had drawn and distributed throughout the city which they
felt had helped publicly to let people know what the city
has to offer. Chairperson Ms, Hanson asked them to (live the
board a copy so they know what the city is offering also.
Pam said she would.

Mr. alo proposed that the city have e Square Dancing
class. He had a letter from Rill Marquist which he read to
the board. Mr. Marouist suggested that they use the Cape
View School, but all chairs & tables would have to be moved
by the people. He also suggested that the rate be 1,5fl,
one dollar of which would go to the caller & fifty cents
would no to the city, Mr. Marquis also told Jack that the
rates were negotiable. The Board agreed to let Jack handle
it.
Directors Report:
T1i77 PrOcaTe informed the hoard that the beautication board
will plant trees at the ball nark.
Recreation Complex:
FITT—Ticealo infOrmed the board that an inspection had taken
place at the complex because the warranty was about to run
out.
Racquetball Ladder:
TF: would like to get a ladder going for racquetball.
There would be trophies awarded.
It was suggested by Mr. Piccalo that one of the ball parks
be dedicated to Mr. Vorsino on opening day of Little League.
It was turned down by the board. The board suggested that a
plaque be given instead. It was passed.
linfinished Business:
7: Shuffleboard'Repairs-
The city council suggested that since all of the courts
needed to be done, all of them would be done at once. Prices
were as followed.::
3 courts - 996
6 courts - loop
12 courts - 3300
Donn Butler made a motion to do all 12 at once. Motion
seconded & passed.
Meters at the Ballparks
This was tabled until next meeting.

Tennis Pro: ContractPft. Pier:aidSaid that our rates were too low in compari-
son with other area.
Mr. Gates said that he would take over tennis lessons until
we got someone else. John Butler suggested that Jack find
three people and bring their name to a meeting as soon as Mr.
Picallo finds someone; he will call a meeting.
_Playgrounds -
It was suggested that Mr. Piccalo set a priority list
For the playground and go as far as we can with the money
we've got. Items suggested were as follows:

Board suggested that Mr. Picalln get 2 or 3 ways of doing it
