Cape Canaveral Recreation Board Minutes
Members present: D. 8rmgdoD C. Welton, S. Riggs and D. Pressley
and S Butler
Members Absent: |. melllour, S. Mare, M. Rhamo and J. Nicholas

Motion was made by D. proeaIoy to accept January minutes,
seconded by D. Bragdon. Motion passed.
Directors report: The transformer at the major buIIfield is
leaking oil and should be replaced. Shuffleboard league play
is over and of 8 teams the Cape Canaveral Club placed 6th.
The people more really happy with our courts and the upknep
on them.
Unfinished business: Recreation CnmplaX pIacquo maa tabled
until next meeting as more information is needed in order to
get o price estimate. Our target date is in December, our
5th annivoroary,tn have the ���a'cquo ready.
New business- Sandi Riggs made a motion to ask City Council
for a rate increase From S12 and �14 to S14 and �16 for
d seconded the motion
group tennis lessons. D. Bragdon s�oo� n r passed
unanimously. Tennis backboard- Harry Johnson who works For
the Recreation Department can build a backboard for approx-
imately �4OD.O0, which includes all materials and labor.
D. Bragd~D suggested that we look at our budget at the April
meeting and see where we stand and if we have the money, go
ahead and build one, otherwise include the cost in next years
budget,
Summer Recreation program am will begin ono meek after school
is out and Ieot for 6 mookn^ The concept of the program
was dieouaond°
The Cope Canaveral Tennis Association requested the use
of our courts for o tournament on March 22 and 23rd
from 9 a.m. till 5 p"m^, three courts only. C. Welton
mada e motion to allow their use, S. Riggs seconded the
motion, passed unonimouely°
D. Pressley motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by
S. Riggs.
