Recreation Board Meeting
Oct. 24, 1979
Members Present —Welton, Riggs, Nicholas, Butler

Meeting called to order at 730 p.m.
PersonalAppearance
Task Assoc. Reps. gave recommendations for court design
Extend existing roof 8 ft.
Brin sidewal-is all the way back for maximum playability,
Doors to be designed for minimum maintainance.
Glass windows same length as now and 2X the height.
Put wire on the inside of the posts.
R2 material on the interior.
Sealer to be kept as a line item.
Rerouting of the sprinkler system will not be a part of the contract.
Task associates were asked by the board to set up a meeting with the
city building officials to answer any of their questions.
Racquetball Assoc. Rep.
Motion made by Sandy Butler that the Racquetball assochave use of
the courts on Fri.Nov. 9,from 5 p.m. until closing and ailday Nov.10
and il at ,;)1.50 per court hour. Second by Carl Welton. All in Favor.
Director's Report
Mr, Welton praised the sound management or the complex by Mrs. Hanson.
New Business
Sandy RiPS motioned to approve....
2.) Bunky Pressley as alternate member 41 for a 2 yr. term to end 1/10/81.
b.) David Bragdon as alternate Y2 for a lyrterm to end 1/10/80.
Jo nicholas second. passed unanimously.
Council workshop will meet on the following hurs. to approve
these recommendations.
Review of 1980 capital expenditures...Line items
a.) Circuit breakers and leaking transformer. ,Nancy is checking prices.
b.) Soccer field nets being taken care of by Mr. Rhinehart.
c.) Announcer stand roof to be takeb care or at the same time as dugout.
d.) Wait Phirman Memorial.. Flag pole is ordered..Ceremony to be
on Little League 0 ening Day.
c.) $48 for shuffleboard guest cards ..DONE.
f.) Tile for office and bathroom to be taken care of.

Discussion
1. Election of officers next month.
2. Council approved that members of the Rec Board could be property
owners as well as residents.
3. Praise in a letter from Mr. T:athan for ,;;1039 raised in the
muscular dysrophy tournement.
4, Founders Plaque .. tabled until next meeting
