HomeMy WebLinkAboutCumberland FarmsCity Manager's Office, director Todd Morley My name is Barbara Fuller a Cape Canaveral resident and Cape Shores owner. I am strongly opposed to the approval of Cumberland Farms proposal to build a 16 pump gas station and convenience store in Cape Canaveral along a 2mile stretch of A1A, which already has at least 6 gas station including an 18 pump gas station. At issue will be Pollution runoff into the Banana River A mosquito health issue due to a large retention pond A problem with traffic entering and exiting from 2gas stations across from each other on A1A The destruction of a Maritime Oak Hammock close to 100 years old. The peace and tranquility destroyed for the homeowners adjacent to the proposed station By the installation of a large amount of lighting for the store and the pumps The loss of Cape Shores existing harmony by the removal of a large amount of trees surrounding the south end of Cape Shores. Cape Shores will do all we can to stop this proposal and hope that the City Boards, the Council and every other department involved in this issue will look closely at the environmental damage and loss of a beautiful green space of Cape Shoes that this proposal will create. Sincerely, Barbara Fuller Sent from my iPad Florida has a very broad public records law.
