CASE NO. 2014-00011 Date: 2/4/14 PURSUANT to Section 162.06, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 2 Article VI, of the City of Cape Canaveral Code of Ordinances, the undersigned Code Enforcement Officer hereby gives notice of violation(s) of the City of Cape Canaveral Code of Ordinances, as more specifically described below. Respondent(s) is/are hereby notified that a corrective action(s) to cure the violation(s) described below is/are to be voluntarily performed within fifteen (15) days. In the event that the violations(s) is/are not corrected within the time period set forth above or the violations(s) recur(s) even if the violations(s) is/are corrected at the time of hearing Respondent(s) may be required to attend a hearing before the Code Enforcement Board for the City of Cape Canaveral, and a penalty as provided below may be imposed. The Code Enforcement Board may enter an order requiring the Respondent(s) to correct the violation(s) and penalties may be assessed up to $250 per day for each first violation or up to $500 per day for each repeat violation described in this notice until the violations(s) has/have been corrected. Mortgage Association, Corp C/O Randy Pierre, R. A. 3300 NE 191 St Aventura, FL 331,81 Our office received a compliant regarding what appears to be black mold on the wall adjoining unit #214 to, #215. This mold is believed to be caused by a water leak under the sink in the kitchen of unit #214. The owner(s) of unit #215 had the drywall removed on the adjoining wall and discovered the back mold on the drywall of their unit and the drywall of #214. This issue needs to be address as it may lead to health issues for potential new owners andJor the adjoining properties owners 3, Description of Violation(s) at property: Sec. 82-221. International Property Maintenance Code adopted (IPMC). The International Property Maintenance Code, 1998 edition, as published. by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set out. IPMC 3 04. 1, General. The interior of a structure and equipment therein shall be maintained in good repair, structurally sound and in a sanitary condition. Every occupant shall keep that part of the structure which such occupant occupies or controls in a clean and sanitary condition. Every owner of a structure containing a rooming house, a hotel, a dormitory, two of' more dwelling units or two, or more nonresidential occupancies, shall maintain, in a clean and sanitary condition, the shared or public areas of the structure and exterior property. IPMC 304.3, Interior surfaces. All interior surfaces, including windows and doors, shall be maintained in good, clean and sanitary condition. Peeling paint, cracked or loose plaster, decayed wood, acrd other defective surface conditions shall be corrected. 4. Recommendation (s) to correct the violation(s) described above: • Remove the drywall on the kitchen wall behind the cabinets and replace with non - damaged materials to mitigate the mold. • Remove any and all mold. or material with mold. Failure to comply within fifteen (1 5) days from receipt of this Notice shall result in further action, as outlined in the previous page(s) of this Notice of Violation.
