HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1990-61RESOLUTION NO. 90 -61 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION FOR SAID CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING 'AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida as follows: SECTION 1. Edward Spenik is hereby appointed as City Manager of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, as provided for in the City Charter. SECTION 2. Said City Manager shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council and shall fulfill all of the duties as set forth in the Charter and as may otherwise be required by the City Council. SECTION 3. The City Manager shall be compensated $3,333.33 per month for two months. Thereafter, upon receiving a satisfactory evaluation by a majority of Council, the salary shall increase to $43,000 annually. The Council shall evaluate the City Manager annually thereafter. SECTION 4. As additional compensation, the City Manager shall receive all other benefits received by other City employees, except as set forth in Section 5. SECTION 5. The City Manager, in lieu of vacation, sick leave, and compensatory time, shall receive a total of twenty (20) days annually of Executive Time, usable within reason at the discretion of the City Manager. The maximum number of Executive Leave Days the City Manager is allowed to accrue shall, in no event, be more than forty -five (45) days. SECTION 6. This employment shall commence on October 29, 1990. SECTION 7. This_ Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. ADOPTED BY the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, this 19th day of October 1990. r:.
