HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-04-1972 Board of Adjustment Meeting[CROFiL E® 4.24 -80- BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT January 4, 1972 The Board of Adjustment of the City of Cape Canaveral met at the City Hall, 105 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida on January 4, 1972 at 9:02 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mayor George.H. Firkins. Roll was called by the City Clerk. Officials present were Mayor Firkins; Councilmen Roger Graefe, Leo Nicholas, E. H. Rhame, G. J. Salvaggio; City Manager A. J. Francis; City Attorney Stanley Wolfman; City Clerk Anita Ostrom; Sgt. at Arms Willard Winnett and Frank Martin, Chairman of the Zoning & Planning Board. Item 1. Special Exception Request by Gilda Armstrong and Katherine Mahoney. Mayor Firkins reviewed the application and noted that the recommendation of the Zoning & Planning Board was for approval. The applicants were present. Plans are for 20 children and hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. By motion of Mr. Salvaggio, seconded by Mr. Graefe and unanimous vote, the application was approved. Item 2. Variance request by John Cunningham. Mayor Firkins read the petition and the recommendation of the Zoning & Planning Board for approval. The request was for a variance to set back in the rear of house consisting of an extension of an existing non - conforming use. Mr. Salvaggio moved for approval, Mr. Firkins seconded and the motion carried by unanimous vote. By motion of Mr. Salvaggio, seconded by Mayor Firkins, the meeting was adjourned at 9:29 P.M.
