January 5, 1971 The Board of Adjustment of the City of Cape Canaveral met on January 5, 1971 at the City Hall, 105 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida at 8:16 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Leo Nicholas The roll was called by the City Clerk. Officials present were Mayor Nicholas; Councilmen George Firkins, E. H. Rhame, G. J. Salvaggio and Richard Thurm; City Manager A. J. Francis; City Attorney Stanley Wolfman; City Clerk Anita Ostrom and Sgt. at Arms Officer Cannon. The minutes of the meeting of December 15, 1970 were read by the Clerk and approved as read. Item 1. Request for Conditional Use - Communicable, Inc. Mayor Nicholas read the petition and the minutes of the Zoning Board. Mr. Ralph Hatcher and Mr. Jim Smiley, both of Communicable, Inc. were in attendance to answer questions for the Board regarding this request. Mr. Salvaggio moved to grant the request as recommended by the Zoning Board and subject to the stipulations set out by the Zoning Board. Mr. Rhame seconded the motion.. Mayor Nicholas voted against the motion due to the size of the lot and the possibility of collapse of the antenna which would en- danger surrounding properties. Mr. Thurm voted against the motion because he felt that the requested use was not in harmony with other business in this zoning. Ar. Salvaggio, Mr. Rhame and Mr. Firkins voted in favor and the motion carried. By motion of Mr. Salvaggio, seconded by Mr. Rhame and unanimous vote the meeting was adjourned at 8:57 P.M.
