BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
October 6, 1970
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Cape Canaveral met
on October 6, 1970 at the City Hall, 105 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral,
Florida at 9:40 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Leo Nicholas.
The roll was called by the City Clerk. Officials present
were Mayor Nicholas; Councilmen Charles Berkebile, George Firkins,
G. J. Salvaggio and Richard R. Thurm; City Manager A. J. Francis;
City Attorney Stanley Wolfman; City Clerk Anita Ostrom and Sgt. at
Arms Willard Winnett.
Item 1. Request from Gerald Taylor for On Premises Consumption
of Beer & Wine
Mayor Nicholas read the petition and the supporting papers.
Mr. Taylor described the proposed operation. Mr. Salvaggio moved
to approve the request contingent upon the following items being
furnished the City by Mr. Taylor:
1. Letter from the land owner stating that there was no
objection to the proposed use of the land.
2. Letter from Mr. Sam Rodante assuring adequate parking to
be used for this purpose.
3. A plot plan showing the parking available. --�
Mr. Firkins seconded the motion. Mr. Salvaggio, Mr. Firkins, Mr.
Thurm and the chair voted in favor of the motion, and Mr. Berkebile
abstained. The motion carried.
By motion of Mr. Salvaggio, seconded by Mr. Firkins and
unanimous vote the meeting was adjourned at 10.07 P.M.
