August 19, 1969
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Cape Canaveral met
on August 19, 1969 at the City Hall, 105 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral,
Florida at 9:56 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Richard R. Thurm.
The roll was called by the City Clerk. Officials present were
Mayor Richard R. Thurm; Councilmen Charles Berkebile, Leo Nicholas,
G. J. Salvaggio and Martin Schrider; City Manager A. J. Francis; City
Attorney Stanley Wolfman and City Clerk Anita Ostrom.
The minutes of the Board of adjustment meeting of August 5, 1969
were read by the Clerk and approved as read.
Item 1. Request from South Florida District of Assemblies of God,Inc.
Mayor Thurm read the request and the recommendation of the Zoning
and Planning Board. Mr. W. J. Boydstun, Chairman of the Board of Directors
of Aero -Space Workers, Inc., and Mr. Maltby, Secretary - Treasurer, spoke to
the Board for this request.
Mr. Salvaggio made a motion seconded by Mr. Nicholas to grant
the request. A stipulation was added that any rentals be limited to
Labor organizations for meetings. Mr. Salvaggio, Mr. Nicholas and
Mr. Berkebile voted in favor, Mr. Schrider abstained and the motion carried.
By General Consent the meeting was adjourned at 10 :45 P.M.
