September 22, 1967
The City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,-Florida,
met in special session on September 22, 1967, at City Hall,
105 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 5:05 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Richard R. Thurm.
The roll was called by Dee Devlin. Members present were
Mayor Richard R. Thurm, Councilmen Frank Hoog and G. J. Salvaggio,
City Manager - City Clerk Joseph A. Rickards, City Attorney
T. David Burns, and Sgt. at Arms. Councilmen Paul.Knittel and
Vincent Lindemann were absent.
Item 1. Ordinance - first reading - setting millage for storm
drainage.
Mayor Thurm read the title of Item 1 from the agenda. Mr.
Burns explained that there have been several phone calls to Mr.
Watson in Jacksonville, and the resulting opinion is that the
millage should not be set until the tax roll has been adopted.
Mr. Salvaggio made a motion to table this item, Mr. Hoog seconded
the motion, and the motion carried unanimously.
Item 2. Resolution 67 -52.
Mayor Thurm read the resolution entitled, " RESOLUTION
PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF NOT EXCEEDING $720,000 PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT REVENUE BONDS, SERIES OF 1966 ANTICIPATION NOTES
OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, IN ANTICIPATION OF
RECEIPT BY THE CITY OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT REVENUE BONDS, SERIES OF 1966: REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 67 -16: Mr. Salvaggio made a motion to adopt
the resolution, Mr. Hoog seconded the motion, and the motion
carried unanimously.
There being no further business on the agenda, Mr.
Salvaggio made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Hoog seconded the
motion, and the meeting was adjourned at 5:30 P.M.
