SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 25, 1967
The City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida,
met in special session on August 25, 1967, at City Hall, 105
Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 2:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Richard R. Thurm.
The roll was called by Deputy City Clerk Anita J. Ostrom.
Members present were Mayor Richard R. Thurm; Councilmen Frank '
Hoog and G. J. Salvaggio; City Manager - City Clerk Joseph A.
Rickards; and City Attorney T. David Burns. Councilmen Paul
Knittel and Vincent Lindemann were absent.
NEW BUSINESS:
Item 1. Opening and Awarding of Bids.
The First National Bank of Cape Canaveral, Florida,
offered to buy Bonds No. 1 through 36 at a price of $36,000
and an interest rate of 4 1/2/ per annum. Also enclosed was
their check for $720 bid security.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development offered
to buy Bonds No. 37 and thereafter inclusive 1969 through 1994
for $684,000 at an interest rate of 4 1/2/.
Mayor Thurm read Resolution No. 67 -44 awarding the bids.
Mr. Salvaggio made a motion to adopt the resolution, Mr. Hoog
seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
Mr. Salvaggio made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Mr.
Hoog seconded the motion, and the motion carried unanimously.
