HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-18-1967 Regular MeetingREGULAR COUNCIL MEETING April 18, 1967 The Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, met in regular session on April 18, 1967, at City Hall, 105 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 8:00 P.M. The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Richard R. Thurm. The roll was called by Dee Devlin, Members present were Mayor Richard R. Thurm; Councilmen Frank Hoog, Paul Knittel, Vincent Lindemann; G. J. Salvaggio; City Manager - City Clerk Joseph A. Rickards; City Attorney T. David Burns; and Sgt. at Arms James Criss. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 4, 1967, and the minutes of the Emergency Meeting of April 11, 1967, were read by Dee Devlin and approved as read. The Treasury Report was read by Mayor Thurm and approved as read. NEW BUSINESS: Item 1. Budaet Review. City Manager Joseph A. Rickards recommended that no adjust- ment be made to the budget at this time. Mr. Hoog made a motion that the City Manager's recommendation be accepted. Mr. Lindemann seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. Item 2. Amendment to Zoning Ordinance - Re: M -3 Classification (first reading) The amendment to Obdinance No. 81 -64 was read by the City Attorney, T. David Burns. Mr. Lindemann made a motion that the first reading of the amendment be approved. Mr. Hoog seconded the motion, and the motion carried unanimously. tp j, /6 Item 3. Resolution authorizing anticipation note re: Validated $720,000 Bond Issue. The resolution was read by the City Attorney, T. David Burns. Mr. Knittel made a motion that the resolution be adopted as read. Mr. Hoog seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously adopted. Resolution - ratification Fiscal Agent contract for selling Series B Bonds and authorization of Payment of same. The resolution was read by the City Attorney, T. Ddvid Burns. Mr. Hoog moved that the resolution be adopted. Mr. Knittel seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. Item 5. Resolution reauestina State Health Officers to enforce Sanitary Code against certain parcels of Property in the City. T. David Burns, the City Attorney, read the resolution. Mr. Knittel made a motion to table the resolution. The motion died from lack of second. Mr. Salvaggio made a motion to include in this resolution all commercial violators, the names of whom will be supplied by the City Manager and the City Building Official. The motion was seconded by Mr. Knittel and was carried unanimously. There 'ring no other business on the agenda, a discussion period was held at this time.
