HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-17-1966 Special MeetingSPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING November 17, 1966 The City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, met in Special Session at the City Hall at 1:00 P.M. on the 17th day of November 1966. The Meeting was called to Order by Mayor Thurm and the roll was called by the Clerk. Officials present were Mayor Richard R. Thurm, Councilmen Paul Knittel and Martin Schrider, City Manager, Joseph A. Rickards, City Attorney T. David Burns and City Clerk Donna J. Anderson. Item 1. Awarding Sale of Bonds Re: $1,200,000 Storm Drainage General Obligation Bonds. The following bids were submitted and opened by Mayor Thurm. Bidder Net Interest Cost Reynolds & Co. 5.7385% Wm. R. Hough & Company 5.7+02% Barcus, Kindred & Company 5.8669% A short recess was called and on resuming the Meeting, Mayor Thurm read Resolution # 66 -69 awarding the bid to Reynolds & Company. On a Motion by Mr. Schrider, seconded by Mr. Knittel and carried unanimously the Resolution was adopted. Mr. Knittel then made a Motion postponing the designation of a paying agent at the request of Reynolds & Company, represented by Mr. Wheeler. Mr. Schrider seconded the Motion and it carried unanimously. There being no other business before the Council, the Meeting was adjourned on a Motion by Mr. Schrider, seconded by Mr. Knittel and carried unanimously at 1.45 P.M.
