REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
April 19, 1966
The City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida met in regular session at the City Hall, 105 Polk
Avenue at 7:30 P.M. on the 19th day of April, 1966.
The meeting was called to Order by Mayor Thurm and
the roll was called by the Clerk. Officials present were
Mayor Richard Thurm; Councilmen Leo Collins, Frank Hoog,
Jack Hurck and Martin Schrider; Assistant City Attorney
Irving Propper; J. A. Rickards, City Manager; City Clerk
Donna J. Anderson and a Sgt. at Arms.
The Minutes of the regular meeting of April 5, 1966
and the Minutes of the Board of Adjustment of April 5, 1966
were read by the Clerk and with no additions or corrections
were approved as read.
The Treasury Report was approved as submitted.
OLD BUSINESS
Item 1. Award of Pipe Bid
The bid from Florida Steel Corporation in the amount
of $4,813.44 and the Bid from Metal Products Division -Armco
Steel Corporation in the amount of $3,724.62 were read by
the Mayor. On the recommendation of the City Manager, the
low bid of Armco Steel Corporation in the amount of $3,724.62
was accepted on a Motion by Mr. Schrider, seconded by Mr. Hoog
and carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Item 1. Resolution - Revision of Budget
Mayor.Thurm read the Resolution #66 -18. On a Motion by
Mr. Hoog, seconded by Mr. Schrider and carried unanimously,
the Resolution was adopted.
item m 2. Resolution #66 -19 Mutual Aid Program - Fire Depts.
Mayor Thurm read the Resolution adopting the Brevard
County Fire Mutual Aid Plan; ProvidiAg an Effective Date.

Mr.I'Gollins read the Resolution and made a Motion
that the Resolution b3a adopted. Mr. Hurck seconded the
Motion and it carried unanimously. Mr. Collins commended
Chief Snyder of the Fire Department on a job well done.
Mayor Thurm then recognized Mr. Kelly Brinsen of the
Port Authority who spoke on several items asking cooperation
of the*City
There being no other business before the Council, the
Meeting was adjourned on a Motion by Mr. Hurck, seconded
by Mr. Schrider and carried unanimously.
Approved this 3rd day of May, 1966.
