NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City Council of the City of Cape Ca-
naveral, Florida will hold a Public Hearing
for the purpose of discussing Ordinance No.
03 -2014 in the Cape Canaveral Library
Meeting Room, 201 Polk Avenue, Cape Ca-
naveral, Florida at 6 P.M., on Tuesday,
February 18, 2014. The Ordinance may be
inspected in its entirety in the City Clerk's
office during business hours (8:30 a.m. to
5:00 P.m., Monday- Friday).
Ordinance No. 03 -2014
An Ordinance of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Brevard County, Florida, adopted in fur-
therance of the requirement set forth in sec-
tion 2.12(5), Cape Canaveral Charter; au-
thorizing the issuance of not exceeding
$5,500,000 capital improvement revenue
note, series 2014, of the City to finance the
cost of a city hall, fire station, refurbishment
of a wastewater treatment plant and related
capital improvements; providing for the se-
ries 2014 note to be secured by the City's
Public Service Tax, Half -Cent Sales Tax,
Guaranteed Entitlement, Communications
Services Tax and Certain Franchise Fees;
authorizing the City's financing team to pro-
ceed to develop necessary documents; pro-
viding for the repeal of prior inconsistent or-
dinances or parts of prior inconsistent or-
dinances in conflict herewith; providing for a
severability clause; providing an effective
date.Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida
Statutes, the City hereby advises the public
that: If a person decides to appeal any deci-
sion made by the City Council with respect
to any matter considered at this meeting,
that person will need a record of the pro-
ceedings, and for such purpose that person
may need to ensure that a verbatim record
of the proceedings is made, which record
includes the testimony and evidence upon
which the appeal is to be based. This notice
does not constitute consent by the City for
the introduction or admission into evidence
of otherwise inadmissible or irrelevant evi-
dence, nor does it authorize challenges or
appeals not otherwise allowed by law. In
accordance with the Americans with Disa-
bilities Act: all interested parties may attend
this Public Meeting. The facility is accessi-
ble to the physically handicapped. Persons
with disabilities needing assistance to par-
ticipate in the Proceedings should contact
the City Clerk's office (868 -1220 x220 or
x221) 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
