CITY COUNCIL
January 21, 1964
The Regular Meeting ofthe City Council of the City of Cape Canaver4
Florida, convened at 7:30 P.N., on January 21, 1964, at the Temporary City Hall,
109 Buchanan Ave., Cape Canaveral, Florida.
City Officials present were Eugene Jandreau - May_or Pro Tem, Councilmen:
F. L. Murphy, Jack Hurck, Nm. Ebervein, T. David Burns — City Attorney, Donna J.
Anderson - City Clerk.
The Meeting was called to Order by.Nayor Pro Tem Jandreau, in the
absence of K-yor Thurm.
Mr. Murphy made a Motion that the Meeting be moved to the Fire Station,
a, 120 Jackson Ave. The Hotion.was seconded by1Sr. Eberwein and passed unanimously
and there -upon the Hasting recessed, leaving a Police Officer at the City Hall
to direct the Public to the Fire Station.
The Meeting reconvened at the fire Station and was called to Order by
Mayor Pro Tem Jandreau.
Mr. Murphy made a Moti;p that the Reading of the Minutes of the
Regular Meeting of January 7, 1964,'and the Minutes of the Special Meeting for
Public Hearing of January 14, 1964', be waived. Mr. Eberwein seconded the Motion
and it was carried by majority vote w ith.Mr. Murphy and Mr. Eberaein voting
In favor of the Motion and Mr. Hurck obataining.,
After reading the Treasury Report, Mr. Hwck made a Motion that the
Treasury Report be approved as read. Mr. Eberwain seconded the Motion and it
vas approved unanimously.

I� ABC ordinance - Amendment {2nd and Final Re4ding)
Mr. )l:rphy made a Motion to Table the 2nd and Final Reading of the
Amendment to the ABC Ordinance. Mr. Hurck seconded the Motion and it was
carried by unanimous vote.'
2. Master Plan
Mayor Pro Tem Jandreau directed the Clerk'to post the proposed
Zoning Yap on the Bulletin Hoard at the City. Hall. and the City Attorney gave
first reading in its entirety to Ordinance No. 64-1 entitled 114NORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA 3ETTING FORTH AND PRESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE VARIOU5 DISTRICTS CIMA'18¢1FOR Za7ING PURI SESi AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
11-62 A5 AMENDED; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
Mr. Hurck made a Motion to approve first reading of the Ordinance.

Mir. Marphy seconded the Motion and it wns approved unanimously. 2nd and Final
Reading to be on the Agenda of February 4, 1964.
3. Variance Request - Integrity Construction Company.
On a Notion by Mr. Murphy, seconoedby-Mr. Ebe rw . sins the Council voted
unanimously to grant the Variance Request of, a 25 it.:1 set -back on Ridgewood Ave..
in lieu of the 50 ft. requirement.

Mr..Murphy made a Motion to adopt the Resolution. Mr. Hurck seconded

the Motion andLthe'Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Council.
The City Attorney then read a Resolution entitled. 'IwA RESOLUTION
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 38 L -62 ADOPTED By THE CITY WUNCIL OFTHECITY OF CAM
CANAVERAL, FLORIDA ON THE 5th DAY OF NOVEMBER 1963 APPOINTING THE CITY ENGINEERS
AS APPRAISERS FOR THE CITY OF CAP-. cNAKAVE?_kL, FLORIDA TO PLACE A VALUATION UPW
A CERTAIN SEWER LOCATED ON PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CM OF CPAE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA,
SAID PROPERTIES DESCRIBED AS SHUFORD HILLS PROPFMMS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DXTF.11
Mr. Hurck made a Hotionto adopt the Resolution and Mr. Eberwein seconded the
Motion. The Council AdoptedL the. Resolution by unanimous vote.
2. City Hall Complex
Mr. Hirphr made a Motion to accept the plan's submitted by Broleman
and Rapp and directed the City Attorney to enter into an agreement with same.
The Motion was seconded by Mr. Hurdk and passed unanimously.
City Hall Projedt Appointment
Mr. Eberwein made a )4&onLto appoint' Mr. Hurpky to over see the
construction of the now City HalI COMPIOX- Mr.ktixphy seconded the Motion and
it was passed unanimously.
4. City Flag Design
Mayor Pro Tem Jandreau showed a . one of the designs submitted and suggested
that a decision be delayed until additional dasigns have been.submitted.
On a Motion by Mr. Murphy to adjourn, s I econded by Mr. L Hurck, and passed
unanlnously, the Regular Meeting of January 21, 1964,L was adjourned.
