1. Proposed renovations at the City Hall Annex for the Canaveral Precinct.

Re: PROPOSED REMODELING PLAN FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT BUILDING
The commander authorized an architect to prepare a proposed remodeling
plan for the police department building located at 111 Polk Avenue. The
estimated cost of this construction is $170,000.
I would like to hold a workshop meeting on December 1st at 5:30 pm to
review the attached proposed plan and scope of services for this project.

1. Architectural Drawings
a. Design Drawings Final design drawings and engineering to be provided
by contractor. Hard copy and electronic file of
conceptual designs will be provided to the winning
bidder for use in preparing documents for permitting.
2. Permits and Fees
1 a. Building permit&building impact fees Permit fees provided by contractor.

a. Temporary Construction Power&Water Provided by owner.

a. Boundary Survey No Surveys Required.
5. Site Work
1 a. Clearing None Required.
b. Demolition By contractor using inmate labor. Supervision by
contractor. Most interior components are to be
removed. Foundation will be cut for installation of
new underground plumbing.
6. Foundation
a. Type The only foundation work required will be the
concrete placement in the plumbing trenches and
bringing the North West area of the building up to the
finish floor height of the rest of the facility.
7. Exterior Walls
a. First Floor No changes to existing exterior walls other than
blocking in the opening located at the new bath by
the entrance lobby. This will be closed in to accept a
smaller glass block window.
8. Interior Walls
1 a. Material 25 gauge metal stud walls framed per the new layout
will replace all existing walls.
b. Spacing 16"o.c.
c. Note The existing block walls which remain to be furred
out and dry walled.
9. Roof and Floor Framing
a. Roof System No modifications to the existing roof system are
required.

side included.

a. Exterior Block Walls 3/4"tuff-r foam insulation will be applied to all

b. Roof Insulation The existing metal roof deck will receive 5.5"of
Icynene Spray Foam Insulation.

incorporated all existing window locations.

current entry desk and re-install at new lobby desk
