ORDINANCE NO. 21 -74
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 21 -66 AS
AMENDED, WHICH ORDINANCE PROVIDES FOR THE
REGISTRATION AND FINGERPRINTING OF PERSONS EN-
GAGED IN CERTAIN OCCUPATIONS, BY INCREASING
THE REGISTRATION FEE TO $2.00; BY REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 21 -66 -A; BY PLACING THE RESPONSIB-
ILITY FOR SUCH REGISTRATION WITH THE OWNER OR
MANAGER OF BUSINESSES COVERED; BY AMENDING
THE PENALTY PROVISION FOR VIOLATION OF SAID
ORDINANCE; BY REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. _ 21 -66, as amended, is hereby amend-
ed as follows:
(a) Ordinance No. 21 -66 -A, which amended Ordinance No.
21 -66, is hereby repealed.
(b) Paragraph (1) of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 21 -66 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(1) Any person who is now engaged in or may hereafter
desire to engage in the following occupations shall
register with the Police Department, pay a registration
fee in the amount of Two dollars ($2.00) to such depart-
ment, and be fingerprinted and photographed by the
Police Department under the procedure hereafter set
forth. "
(c) Paragraph (1) of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 21 -66 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(1) Every person required to register under the prov-
isions of Section 1 shall report to the Police Department
and after payment of a registration fee in the amount of
Two dollars ($2.00) shall complete, verify and sign
under oath a form provided by the Police Department,
which form shall contain spaces in which the following
information concerning the registrant shall be written."
(d) Section 2 of Ordinance No. 21 -66 is hereby amended by
the addition of the following paragraph:
"(3) It shall be the responsibility of the owner of- manager
or employer of any business in which registration of em-
ployees is required under the Ordinance to make certain
that such employee registration as herein provided is no
later than five (5) days of commencement of such employ-
ment. Failure of such owner, manager or employer to
have an employee register shall constitute a violation of
this Ordinance."

(e) Section 8 of Ordinance No. 21 -66 is deleted in its
entirety, and the following new Section shall be substituted therefor:
"Section 8. Penalty for violations.
Any person who shall be convicted in the Municipal
Court of a violation of any provision of this Ordinance
shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500.00 or by
imprisonment not to exceed sixty (60) days or by such
fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, this 16 day of JULY , 1974.
