AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO
CONSUME: ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WITHIN THE CONFINES
OF THE CAPE CANAVERAL LITTLE LEAGUE /SENIOR
LEAGUE BALL PARK, A /K /A THE CAPE CANAVERAL
RECREATIONAL FACILITY; PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
CANAVERAL AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to consume: a.ny IN TO HAVE

POSSESSION
alcoholic beverage, as defined in Chapter 562 Florida Statutes, within the
confines of the Cape Canaveral Little League /Senior League Ball Park a/k /a
the Cape Canaveral Recreation Facility, and more fully described as that
certain recreational area bounded on the North by Monroe Avenue, on the
East by Magnolia Avenue, on the South by Harrison Avenue and on the West
by Orange Avenue„ within the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida.
SECTION 2. Any person who violates this Ordinance and is con-
victed of said violation in a Court of competent jurisdiction, shall be
punished by a fine not to exceed $100,00 or imprisonment not to exceed 10
days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption, and in accordance with Article XXIV, Section 4(4) of the
Charter of the City of Cape Canaveral, shall be temporarily effective for a
period no longer than 30 days from the date of its passage.
