HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 15-1974MICROFILMED 3./4 ORDINANCE NO. 15-74 ©Rb. #9 78 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5 -74 RELATING TO GARBAGE AND TRASH COLLECTION BY PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT TO THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL FOR CHARGES FOR SPECIAL CONTAINERS, WHEN SAID CONTAINERS ARE PROVIDED AT THE CUSTOMER'S REQUEST; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, as follows: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 5-74 of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, is hereby amended by the addition of the following paragraph to Section 3 thereof: "(d) Payment for special containers. In the event that any owner, resident, user or occupant of any residential unit, multiple dwelling unit or commercial establishment within the City of Cape Canaveral requires the use of special mechanical containers other than those normally provided by the Collector, and in the event the Collector charges the City in excess of the normal rate for such containers, then said owner, resident, user or occupant shall pay to the City of Cape Canaveral the amount of said excess charge. Failure by such customers as named herein to pay said excess charge within thirty (30) days after billing to them by the City shall constitute a violation of this Ordinance." SECTION 2.
