ORDINANCE NO. 15-73 (AS AMENDED)
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES AND BUILDING
PERMITS ON ALL CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY LIMITS`
OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA; REVOK-
ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, ;AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Building Permit Fee Schedule: The City of
Cape Canaveral, Florida, does hereby establish as its schedule for
building permits on all construction in the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida,
the following fee schedule, to -wit:
A. Building and miscellaneous: On all buildings, structures or
alterations requiring a building permit, a fee shall be paid as
required at the time of filing application, as follows:
(a) Alterations, remodeling, repairs and
moving, in proportion to area of building
and extent of inspection required, provided
the fee shall not exceed one-half (1/2) of the
regular fee for new construction of like
classification, per $1, 000.00 valuation
Minimum fee
(b) Moving of building
(c) Demolition
(d) Building, per square foot
(e) Signs, per $1, 000.00 valuation
(f) Swimming pool, per $1, 000.00 valuation
(g) Block walls and fences, per $1, 000.00
valuation
(h) Seawall, per $1, 000.00 valuation
(1) Retaining wall, per $1, 000.00 valuation
(j) Well (deep or shallow)
(k) Certificate of occupancy (replacement oR
change of use)
(1) Portable signs:
1 - 3 days
4 - 7 days
8 - 15 days
`16 - 31 days
All other permits not listed above, per

For the inspection of any electrical equipment for
which no fee is set $5.00 per hr.
(b) Re- inspection fees. When extra inspection trips
are necessary due to any one of the following
reasons, a charge of five dollars ($5.00) shall be
made for each trip:

(1) Wrong address.
.(2) Second call on condemned work.
(3) Additional work done after inspection has been made.
(4) Work not ready for inspection when called.
SECTION 2. Where construction valuation is required to
determine the permit fee, such valuation shall be based upon the actual
construction contract price (with satisfactory evidence of same being
submitted to the Building Official) or a construction cost estimate made
by the Building Official.
SECTION 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
