ORDINANCE NO. 23 -95
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, BREVARD
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 82, ARTICLE XI,
HOUSING CODE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, BY ADOPTING THE LATEST EDITION
OF THE STANDARD HOUSING CODE; REPEALING ALL PORTIONS OF
THE CODE IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN Er F ECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Brevard
County, Florida, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 82, Article XI, Housing Code, is hereby amended by repealing
• Section 82 -271 in its entirety and replacing same with the following:
Sec. 82 -271. Adopted.
The Standard Housing Code, 1991 edition, with 1992 and 1994 revisions, excluding the
appendices, published by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., is
adopted by reference as though it were copied in this article in full.
SECTION 2. Any ordinance, or parts of an ordinance, in conflict herewith are repealed.
SECTION 3. If any section, paragraph, phrase, or word of this Ordinance is held to be
unconstitutional or invalid, such portion shall not affect the remaining portions hereof,
and it shall be construed to have been a legislative intent to pass this Ordinance without
such unconstitutional or invalid part.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
