HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No.68-15II 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 68 -15 A RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING CITY 04GINEERS TO PREPARE A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR SEWER SERVICE TO CANAVERAL PORT AUTHORITY: PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City finds . it desirable that a feasibility study be prepared, regarding providing sewer service to the Canaveral Port Authority. NOW THEREFORE, 'BE.IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, that: SECTION 1. The Consulting Engineer for the City, Briley, Wild & Associates, are hereby instructed to prepare a feasibility study pursuant to their letter addressed to the City of Cape Cana- veral, dated April 1, 1968, acopy of same being attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediatel upon its adoption. ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA THIS /( C� DAY OF APRIL, A.D.,1968. We propose to do the following items of work and to report our findings to the CIty,Counell. 1 A review tcfprotmt and anti ipated future Port d by their the Port Area, Engineers with respect a iloIn, the Port's Engineers master plan onticipated present and reasonable Future sowog of wester: for sewage collection and the characteristics of the various types 2. An analysis of the various portions of the City system which would be affected by service to the Port Area. . ` 3. An analysts of Nie status of the City's financing structure with respect to the outstanding sower system revenue certificates. 4. A study of reports and other available dote for the purpose of determining a basis on which to predicate estimates of present and future taws^ revenues to be derived from the Port Area. 9. The preparation of a feasibility report, based on the foregoing studies and analyses, on the feasibility and practicability of providing sewer service to the Part Area. Included in this Report will be o description of the method or methods of providing sewer service. estimates of cosh, methods of financing and recommended charges. 6. The submission of fifteen (W copies of this Report to the City Council: ' Additional copies can be obtained, upon request by the City Council, at actual reproduct- ion cost.. . 7. Attendance at conferences or meetings, upon request by the City Council. Engineering service, If required, to perform all functions necessary For the City to contract and construct facilities for service to the Port Aron. We are to be paid for the services described herein as follows: A. For conducting the necessary studies and analyses and the preparation and submission of the Feasibility Report (Items i - 6 above)sActval Cost. B. For attendance, upon request, at meetings and conferences (Item 7 above)r Actual Cost C. For services as an expert witness In connection with the Project (Item 8 above): One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per day or part thereof, together with all per- tinent traveling and living expenses incurred. D. For Engineering Services, if required, for the City to contract and construct any facilities necessary for service to the Port Area Otani 9 above), services and payment shall be In accordance with the Consulting Engineering Phase of the Contract between the ENGINEERS and the CITY dated February 7, 1963, or any subsequent Contract. ' The term "Actual Cost" as hereln used shall mean and Include all salaries and wages, social security and other taxes, overhead, and all other expenses, not paid directly, which would normally accrue to the ENGINEERS In the prosecution of the agreed work. For simplification "Actual Cat" shall be computed, billed, and paid as salary cosh plus one hundred percent (100*Q together with all pertinent traveling and living expenses Incurred. The work will be completed at the earliest practicable date consistent with good engineering practice.
