RESOLUTION NO. 70-9 -.�
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TAX COLLECTOR FOR THE
CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, ,"FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING
COLLECTOR'S CONTRACT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, I
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Honorable Rudy Underdown, Tax Collector for the County
of Brevard, Florida, is hereby appointed the tax collector for the City of Cape
Canaveral, Florida, and is authorized to undertake the duties as such City Tax
Collector as specified by law.
SECTION 2: The rate of compensation of such tax collector shall be per
agreement, a copy of which is attached hezeto and made a part hereof, which shall ,
be one-quarter of one percent of the amount of taxes collected for the City of
Cape Canaveral, Florida.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, on
this 17th day of March 19 70.

of the City in the same manner that taxes are collected for tike County and School
Board, and resit the amount collected to the City, less one - quartcr of one percent of

1970 session increases the rate to be charged to municipalities under House Bill 1080-

This agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of both Parties
and their successors in office; and shall be in full force and effect from year to
year until such time as either party, after first giving no less than six (G) months
written notice of their intention to cancel the same.
All notice of whatsoever kind or nature shall be directed to the parties
