WHEREAS, it is incumbent upon the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, to appoint substitute City Judges to preside and try cases coming before the Municipal Court, in the absence of, or inability of the City Judge to preside because of illness, emergency or any other reason, and WHEREAS, the City Council has made diligent inquiry as to qualifications and availability of substitute Judges and has, after such consideration, chosen Jon E. Johnson or Joe T. Caruso, to preside as substitute City Judge; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, THAT SECTION 1. Jon E. Johnson and Joe T. Caruso are hereby appointed as substitute City Judges for the Municipal Court of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, to preside and act as City Judge in the absence of, or the inability of Irving Propper, City Judge, to preside. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to determine which of the two substitute Judges herein appointed shall preside on those occasions when a substitute City Judge is required. SECTION 3. All Resolutions in conflict with this Resolution II, are herewith repealed. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
