RESOLUTION NO. 71-15
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR
TO ESTABLISH A TAX REFORM COMMISSION;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, recognizes that there is an urgent need for tax reform at
all levels of government in Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is aware that the Governor
of the State of Florida has dedicated his efforts toward effectuation
of a program of tax reform.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved By the City Council
of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, the following:
SECTION 1. The Governor is hereby respectfully requested
to appoint a Tax Reform Commission at the earliest possible date,
to include representatives from all levels of government in Florida,
to provide a comprehensive report of the fiscal capabilities of all
taxing units in the State.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of
Cape Canaveral, Florida.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, this 6th day of April, 1971.
