RESOLUTION NO. 71- 19
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A CITY COUNCILMAN;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE .
WHEREAS , City Councilman, George H. Firkins , Jr . ,
resigned from the City of Cape Canaveral City Council on April 15 ,
1971 ; and
WHEREAS, Section 4 , Article III of the City Charter requires
the City Council to elect a successor City Councilman to serve the
remainder of the term of the vacant seat , and
WHEREAS , the City Council has elected RALPH ROGER
GRAEFE to serve as successor City Councilman;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Cape Canaveral , Florida as follows :
SECTION 1 . RALPH ROGER GRAEFE is
hereby appointed a City Councilman on the City Council of the City of
Cape Canaveral , Florida, to serve the remainder of the term of former
City Councilman, George H. Firkins , Jr. ; said term of office to expire
in June 1972 .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Cape
Canaveral , Florida .
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral ,
Florida, on this 4th day of May 1971 .
