I10ARD OP COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO RESCIND
ITS AC'T'ION REGARDING Till's DEVELOPMENT OF
CAMPING FACILIT11"S AT JETTY PARK
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, is opposed to the expenditure of public tax money and to the
Issuance of revenue bonds for the purpose of financing the construction
of a campsite at Jetty Park; and
Will'REAS, present late enforcement at Jetty Park is
Inadequate and law enforcement will become even more difficult upon
the development of such campsite; and
WHEREAS, around the clock security will have to be
provided by Rrevard County, upon the completion of said campsite,
which will result in a further expenditure by Ilrevard County; and
WHEREAS, the Cin Council Is in favor of the development
of Jetty Park as if recreational area for the use and benefit of the
residents of Rrevard County, Florida; and
11'IlIiIlrAS, there is no appreciable benefit to the residents
and taxpayers of Rrevard County, Florida, from the development of such
an overnight campsite;
NOW, T1111-REFORE, BE IT IiBSOLVBD Ill' "I'IIE CITI'
COUNCIL 01'THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SEC'T'ION 1. The Hrevard Count' hoard of Cumin'
Commissioners Is hereby urged to rescind its resolution authorizing the
County Attorney's office and the Count' Administrator to proceed with
the necessary action to issue revenue bonds to finance the development of
camping facilities lit Jetty Park.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall beconne effective

immediately upon its adoption and approval by the City Council of the
City of Cape Canaveral, Florida.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, this - day of August, 1971.
