WHEREAS, the Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach Midget Football Lague has completed its season; and \VI11:IlrAS, two tennis from the City of Cape Canaveral; the Cape Canaveral Rockets, and the Cape Canaveral Cougars, have taken first place in their respective divisions of said League; and Will -REAS, the City of Cape Canaveral recognizes the benefit which accrued to the City from the excellent performance of these two tennis; NOW, THEREFORE, BL' IT RESOLVED BY fill- ('I'I-1' COUNCIL OF TIlr CITY OF (:At)]' CANAVERAL, FLORIDA. AS FOLLOWS: SI ?CTION I. The City congratulates the Cale Canaveral Rockets and their Coach. Ralph Clark, and his Assistant Conches. Don Carpenter and Jim Karl, for ending the season undefeated and untied and for achieving first place in the Merritt Island. Cape Canavera 1, Cocoa Bench Midget Football Lague playoffs. The CitY also congratulates the Cape Canaveral Cougars for ending their season undefeated, with two games tied, and by finishing in first place in the Merritt Island, Cape- Canaveral, Cocoa Beach Midget Football I.eague playoffs in their division, and their Coach, John Butler, and his Assistant Coaches, Oscar Arntsn•onG, Bill 11111 and Mickey Trinacn. The City hereby honors the individual team- mates of the Cape Canaveral Rockets and of the Cale Canaveral Cougars, their Coaches and Assistant Coaches, fur their outstanding performance, their fine sportsmanship and for bringing such outstanding recognition to PAGE I OF?- the City of Cape Canaveral by their excellent performance in the Midget Football League. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and approval by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida.
