PERTAINING TO TIIE JUDICIARY.
W1117111- AS, the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, believes that the proposed revision of Article V of the Florida
Constitution pertaining to the Judiciary, which is on the ballot on March
W. 1972, if adopted as presently written, is not beneficial to the City
of Cape Canaveral, Florida, nor In the best interests of the citizens of
Cape Canaveral, Florida, because of the abolition of the municipal
court system; and
WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, believes it is in tine best Interests of this City and of the other
cities in the State of Florida to maintain and preserve the municipal
courCsystenn for the reason that said courts are closer to the citizens
of said communities; and
14111- RE'AS, the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, is not opposed to the revision of the said Article V of the
Florida Constitution, but is opposed to the revision to he voted un
March 14, 1972, for the reasons stated above;
NOW, THEREFORE. BF- IT RESOLVED 131 THE CI'I'\' COUNCII,
OF THE CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the citizens of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, are urged to vote against the adoption of the proposed revision
of Article V of the Florida Constitution pertaining to the Judiciary, at
the election to be held on March 14, 1972,
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately
