A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE CHIEF OF POLICE
SELECTION ADVISORY BOARD; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WI IER EAS, a recent vacancy in the office of Chlef of Police for
the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, required the appointment of a
Selection Advisory (bard; and
WHEREAS, the Selection Advisory (bard assisted the City
Manager and City Council in the employment of a new Chief of Police;
and
WHEREAS, said Selection Advisory (bard, consisting of Mr. Bruce
Parsons, \Ir. Ralph Stover, Mr. S. 12. DeWitt and Mr. Ray Henderson,
contributed their time and services in the selection process; and
\1 UREAS, the City wishes to express its gratitude for the untiring
and unselfish efforts and the professional manner in which said Selection
Advisory Board conducted Itself;
NOW, THL'REFORE, BE 17' RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, as follows:
SECTION 1. Messrs. Bruce Parsons, Ralph Stover, S. R. DeWitt
and Ray Henderson are hereby commended by the City Council of the City
of Cape Canaveral. Florida, for their recent service on the Chief of Police
Selection Advisory (bard, especially for their unselfish and generous
service on behalf of the City of Cape Canaveral in the selection of a Chief
of Police. The City Council, on behalf of all the citizens of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, wishes to express Its sincere gratitude and deep appreciation for
the professional effort and selection process contributed by these (bard
members.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately

upon its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Cape Canaveral,
Florida, this 27 day of May , 1975.
