A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A DECREASE IN COMPUN-
SATION PAID TO THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS Of- THE CITY
COUNCIL Oh TII' CI'rY OF CAPIi CANAVERAL, FLORIDA:
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DA "IT.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and members of the City Council of
the CRY of Cape Canaveral deem it to be in the hest interest of the
City that their respective salaries be reduced for the fiscal year
beginning October I, 1975: and
W11CREAS, Section 3, Article 111 of the Cape Canaveral
City Charter provides that changes in the compensation paid to the
Mayor and Cnunclbnen shall be clone by ordinance at least sixty (60)
days, but not more than ninety (90) days preceding the general city
election: and
\VIII -REAS, said City election shall not take place until Jame
1976:
NOW, THERE-FORE, be It resolved by the City Council of
the City of Cape Canaveral, Florida, as follows:
SECTION 1. The compensation for the Mayor shall be
S800, 00 per year, commencing October I, 1975, and compensation
paid to the City Councilmen sball be 5600.00 per year, commencing
October I, 1975. It Is the Intent of the City Council to comply with the
provisions of Section 3, Article III of the Cape Canaveral City Charter
as it pertains to compensation paid to rile Mayor and City Cxmcilmen.
SUCTION 2. 'Phis Resolution shall become effective bnnred-
lately upon Its adoption.
ADOITUD by the City Council of the Citv of Cape GLaaveral,
Florida, tills day of October, 1975.
