RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA
March 26, 2007
Members Present: John Datillo, Marianne Kulac-Taiani, Harvey Renshaw, Connie
Troutman
Members Absent: Regina Mead, Gene Petre
Others Present: Nancy Hanson, Director of Parks and Recreation
Chairman Harvey Renshaw called the meeting to order at 5:35 at Mantee Sanctuary
Park.
Marianne Kulac-Taiani moved and John Datillo seconded the motion to accept the
minutes of the December 4, 2006 as written. The motion was unanimously approved
by all members present.
Nancy Hanson reviewed the Recreation Department Budget.
Nancy Hanson presented her report which included:
*Update on young soccer league usage at Banana River Park
*Canaveral City Park Recreation Grant for new playground equipment, fences,
tree, lighting and a water fountain.
*Purchase of another piece of equipment for Cape View Park
*Resodding, 18 new lighting fixtures and the reaiming of these fixtures.
*Lights for the basketball courts.
There was no unfinished business.
Under new business election of officers was held. A motion to retain Harvey
Renshaw as Chairman and John Datillo as Vice Chairman was made by John Datillo
and seconded by Connie Troutman. The motion was unanimously approved by those
memebers present. A motion to elect Gene Petre as Secretary was made by Connie
Troutman and seconded by Marianne Kulac-Taiani. The motion was unanimously
approved by those memebers present.
A motion was made to change the meeting of the Cape Canaveral Recreation Board
from 5:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M by Connie Troutman and seconded,by Marianne Kulac-

Taiani. The motion wa unanimously approved by those members present.
Future capital projects or programs was discussed. Some suggestions made by the
board members were to have bike paths to all Cape Canaveral City Parks, to make
trash/doggie bags available at parks, to check into the Carver Cove land for a future
park and to
have a bandshell at Manatee Sanctuary Park.
No further discussion requests were made by any Board Member.
John Datillo moved and seconded by Connie Troutman that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion was passed unanimously by the members present. Chairman
Harvey Renshaw announced the next meeting of the Recreation Advisory Board is
eduled for 2 2007, and adjourned the meeting at 6:26.
