HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 06-15-1992CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS JUNE 15, 1992 A Meeting of the City of Cape Canvaeral Zoning Board of Adjustments was held on June 15, 1992 at the City Hall Annex, 111 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral, Florida. Chairman Lloyd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The Secretary called the roll. MEMBERS PRESENT: Russell Lloyd Chairman Marilyn Riaerman Vice Chairman Ronnie Farmer Robert Laws Robert Hooa Alternate MEMBERS ABSENT: Pat Lee John Rutte Alternate OTHERS PRESENT: James Morgan Building Official Kevin Markey Assistant City Attorney Susan Nelson Secretary Ms. Rigerman moved to approve the minutes of March 30, 1992 with the amendment that Kevin Markey was the attorney representing the City at that meeting. Mr. Farmer seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS 1. Ms. Calvert, Owner, advised that the adjacent and surrounding properties were all utilized as residential. She advised that neighbors had contacted her in favor of her request to construct residential. Mr. Laws moved to approve Special Exception Request No. 92 -02 to construct a two - family dwelling in a C -1 Zone. Ms. Rigerman seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. ADD -ON DISCUSSION 1. Discussion Re: Variance . Re . ue st No. 91 -5 Chairman Lloyd reviewed that Variance Request No. 91 -5 to allow a swimming pool and screen enclosure to encroach into the required setbacks, located at 601 Monroe Avenue, had been tabled at the meeting held on February 10,1992 because sufficient information had not been provided by the petitioner at that meeting. Mr. Morgan, Building Official, advised that to date, the information requested by the Board had not been received. Discussion followed. Zoning Board of Adjustments June 15, 1992 Page 1 of 2 Ms. Rigerman moved to schedule the next Board of Adjustments meeting for July 13, 1992 and requested that the Secretary place Variance Request No. 91 -5 on that agenda and further, that the Building Official contact the property owner and inform him of the scheduled meeting and ask that he be prepared to provide the necessary information previously requested. Mr. Laws seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 P.M. jj' Approved this /-3 day of G 1992.
