HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 03-30-1992CITY OF CAPE CANAVERAL ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MARCH 30, 1992 A Meeting of the City of Cape Canaveral Zoning Board of Adjustment was held on March 30, 1992 at the City Hall Annex, 111 Polk Avenue, Cape Canaveral. Florida. Chairman Lloyd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The Secretary called the roll. MEMBERS PRESENT: Russell Lloyd Marilyn Rigerman Ronnie Farmer Patrick Lee John Rutte MEMBERS ABSENT: Robert Laws Robert Hoog OTHERS PRESENT: James Morgan John Kancilia Susan Nelson Chairman Vice Chairman Alternate Alternate Building Official City Attorney Secretary Ms. Rigerman moved to approve the minutes of February 10. 1992 as submitted. Mr. Farmer seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS 1. Special Exception — Request No 91 -8 to C o n struct T ownhous e s_ in a C - Z on e, E astern_ 410 feet of Parc 519, Sectio 14, Townshi 24 -South, Range 37 East (Located N.E. Corner of Washington Avenue and N. A tlant ic A v_enue)- Thomas Quinn,_ Agent Mr. Quinn, Agent, pointed out the location and total acreage of the property. He advised that the City was not interested in any of the property for a lift station expansion. Mr. Quinn explained his preliminary plans to develop the property. Discussion was held regarding storm water retention. The Board members reviewed a memorandum from Edward Spenik, City Manager, dated February 27, 1992, regarding Washington Avenue Pump Station No. 1. Discussion followed. Discussion was held regarding possible spot- zoning. Mr. Quinn submitted a color -coded City Zoning Map depicting existing residential and commercial uses around the adjacent and surrounding areas. Discussion continued. Mr. Rutte moved to approve Special Exception Request No. 91 -8 to Construct Townhouses in a C -1 Zone. Ms. Rigerman seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
